“New Remote Control Can Be Operated By Remote” (from The Onion)
When I read this article, I wasn’t really sure what to think about it. At first, I didn’t realize that it wasn’t real and I totally believed that our society would make such a thing. I know that it probably seems ridiculous to for me think that this could have been real, but if you think about it there are things in our world today very similar to this. Like portable phones. They were invented so people don’t have to get up when the phone rings. Or even the redial button. This was invented so you don’t have to dial the same number twice. This article is a perfect example of satire. Although its fake, the author is using an object to make us laugh about the issue of our nations laziness.
