Slave Narrative #1
I expect to understand slavery in a different way than I do today. In class we are taught slavery, but we don’t truly know what the slaves must have felt like. I know that slaves were treated badly, but I don’t understand the extent to the word badly, when using it in describing slavery. I understand that slavery was wrong, and it shouldn’t have occurred .Through these narratives I think that I will be able to see the differences in certain slave owners, and how some owners are possibly crueler to their salves that others. I think that these narratives will be very interesting to read, and will show me more.
